Kerri + Kevin in Mill Valley

As Adm and I walked up the stairs to Kerri and Kevin's suite in Mill Valley, the first sound we heard was Kerri's infectious laughter.  It was the sound of happiness that wraps you in a layer of warmth.  Kerri and Kevin do not live small or quietly.  Their joy is the type that is bubbling over and shared with everyone around them.  Photographing their wedding was like being drunk on champagne.  In the best way possible of course.

They had their ceremony and reception at The Outdoor Art Club in the heart of Mill Valley.  Kerri wanted the style of her wedding to be modern with a French twist, and she pulled every detail together herself.

After having spent so much time with Kerri and Kevin during their engagement session and wedding now, we know these two will never stop having fun.

Kerri and Kevin Engagement

I don't know about you, but I love going to the river, drinking wine, photographing in great light, and walking along the waterfront.  For most people, all these things would make for a packed weekend, but for Kerri and Kevin, it was just their engagement session.  We started in Sausalito for some waterfront pictures near Le Garage where they had their first date.  Then we got a private look at MacMurray Ranch where we were in photo heaven - the light could not have been more gorgeous, and the grounds and vineyards of the ranch were so beautiful.  We were also the only ones there, so we were able to explore to our hearts' content.  We finished their session along the river with their dogs Zito and Pogo, who couldn't stay out of the water.  Kerri and Kevin are getting hitched in just a few weeks, and we can't wait for their wedding, which I know will be gorgeous and a blast!

Alison + Bryan in San Francisco, CA

wedding at lyon street steps inspiration point and presidio golf course in presidio in san francisco, california. Alison and Bryan are SO much fun.  Need I remind you how I fell during their engagement session at Crissy Field last year and they kept me laughing all the way through to the end?  While their wedding remained injury-free, Alison and Bryan again kept me and everybody else smiling all day long.  This is a couple who, as they put it, cherishes one another so much that you can see it in every smiling moment.  I think my favorite moment of the day though was during their first look at Lyon Street Steps when Alison was caught between laughing and crying as she saw Bryan for the first time.  Seriously, it was one of the sweetest first looks that I've ever witnessed, and I still tear up a little when I look at those photos.

These two had a completely San Francisco wedding with portraits at Lyon Street Steps and their ceremony at Inspiration Point where guests were treated to an amazing view of the Marina and San Francisco Bay.  Afterwords, family and friends walked across the street to the vaulted ceiling and open beams of the Presidio Golf Course for the reception.  Adm and I have loved getting to know Alison and Bryan, which started over a little game of bean bags at Jaclyn and Andy's wedding last year, and we wish them nothing but love and happiness.

Megan + Willie in Hopland, CA

Megan and Willie had a really beautiful and fun wedding at the end of September at Weibel Family Vineyards in Hopland, California.  This was our first time to Hopland, and I was amazed by how beautiful and serene it was!  Hopland is part of Mendocino and definitely off the beaten path, especially when compared with traditional wine country, i.e. Napa and Sonoma.  We really enjoyed being able to use the entire property for photos - the vines were in their peak greenness with lots of grapes, there were beautiful trees throughout, and the weather and light were perfect!  Not to mention that Megan looked so lovely, like a fairy nymph, and Willie very handsome.  Their wedding was a total family affair as Megan's brother Kyle officiated and Willie's sister Lauren did Megan's hair and was "groomslady" extraordinaire.  Megan and Willie, we wish you two all the best and hope you're enjoying married life!

Johanna + Jack in Napa, CA

Johanna and Jack are both from Chicago, but had an amazing destination wedding at the Carneros Inn in Napa.  With their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows in the middle of an apple orchard, drank wine by the pool, and danced to acoustic renditions of some Bob Dylan favorites.  It could not have been a more perfect day.  Furthermore, Adm and I have never laughed so much during our couples' portrait session.  Johanna and Jack, we wish you so much happiness and hope you're laughing (with each other) for years to come!
