Last weekend we photographed a gorgeous wedding at one of our favorite properties, Campovida in Hopland. While there, we realized we never shared the last wedding we photographed there, that of Katelyn and Ishaan, so today we’re going back a few years (!!) to give it its due on the blog.

Kylie and Sophia had a super sweet wedding at one of Oakland’s hidden gems, Preservation Park, last fall. What a day Elyse and Marco had. No, really. As soon as I arrived, Marco asked, “Did you hear? Elyse’s sister went into labor (6 weeks early) this morning!” And so, in addition to getting married, Elyse and Marco had a new (and their first!) nephew by the end of the day.

Today, we’re talking about scouting! One of the things we ALWAYS do with our clients is scout with them before their wedding. We scout ceremony and reception locations as well as all potential portrait spots for both couple’s and group photos. This is a key part of our process for a variety of reasons, but mostly, it allows us to go into a wedding day and maximize the amount of photo time we have with our couple because we know where everything is happening and have a firm plan in place.
