Hi friends! I can’t even really believe I’m writing this… that this year marks our 10th year of being full time wedding photographers. SAY WHAT?!! 10 YEARS! It’s pretty incredible thinking back on the hundreds of weddings we’ve been a part over the last decade, and truthfully, it makes me feel super old, but that’s not what this post is about. This post is about acknowledging that Adm and I have been able to work together as partners in life and business for a decade and we’re both still here to tell you about it. For anyone who has ever worked with their spouse you know what a huge feat this is. There are a lot of perks to working with the person you love more than anything in the world, but it’s also incredibly challenging so kudos to us!
Naturally, we have a giant folder of images of us working so we thought it would be fun to share some of them. So without further adieu, I give you ten years of what it looks like working together. One thing that struck me in going through these photos is that we still have a lot of fun together and with our couples.
To get started, here we are in our first year, 2009, looking so young and so fresh.
I also noticed a trend in looking through these photos… I’m always trying to get taller.
…and Adm’s always trying to be smaller.
Adm brings many other talents to our photo shoots…
Not to be outdone by Adm, I too can style a veil, hold a bouquet, and fluff a dress.
And apparently I like to mix in some hide-n-seek during our weddings. I can’t help it I’m a photobomb ninja.
We’re both expert cheesers.
And if you haven’t had enough of our mugs yet keep scrolling to see some more fun pics of us at work.
We have loads more photos that maybe we’ll share later on but this seems like enough for now. It really has been an incredible ten years. We’ve witnessed so much love and beauty and been privy to the inner workings of families who don’t know us but who have let us into their lives during incredibly intimate moments. Many of these families have inspired us as we’ve navigated our own relationship and now parenting dynamics. We’ve also worked really hard - logging a billion steps each wedding, collaborating with our couples and other vendors, improving our photography with every session. We’re so grateful for our couples whose trust obviously has allowed us to continue doing what we love. And a huge thank you to all the amazing wedding vendors we get to work with - it takes a village and we appreciate you! So, here’s to another ten years, one wedding at a time!
