Ngoc + Steve in San Francisco, CA

San Francisco wedding photography on a cable car We ended up having a later season this year, and so we still have one more wedding to share after this one!  But, I am getting ahead of myself...

Remember Ngoc and Steve's engagement session in Berkeley just a couple of months ago?  Well, these two brought everything together, with the help of their family, to throw an amazing December wedding at San Francisco's iconic Yank Sing Restaurant in The Rincon Plaza.  Their wedding was definitely a family affair as Ngoc and Steve are super close with their siblings: Steve's brother officiated over the ceremony and almost all of the bridal party were family members, which led to some pretty sweet toasts.

We brought along our friend Brad Zweerink to help us photograph the wedding, and it was so much fun to be a part of a celebration for two people who were so obviously in love:  Steve couldn't keep his hands off his beautiful bride as he kept wrapping her up in his arms and kissing her all night long.  Ngoc and Steve, thanks so much for having us, we think you two are an amazing couple!

Jenni + Steve in Ross, CA

summer garden wedding at marin art and garden center in ross, california With the roses in full bloom, a bright blue sky above, and chickens wandering, Jenni and Steve could not have had a more perfect summer garden wedding.  They were married at the gorgeous Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, CA, and they imbued their wedding with lots of personal and sentimental touches.  For starters, the bouquets and floral arrangements were created by Mill Valley Flowers, the same floral shop where Steve created many a bunch of flowers for Jenni during the beginning stages of their relationship.  The shop's owner, Anabella, came to deliver the flowers herself so that she could congratulate Steve and Jenni.  On that same note, Jenni saved all of the ribbons that were used on the bouquets she received from Steve, and they used these ribbons to decorate the cake table.  Additionally, Marin Art and Garden Center is located just a few minutes from WildCare, an organization that provides care for ill, orphaned or injured wild animals, where Steve volunteers every week.  Steve and Jenni included donations to this worthy non-profit as a part of their registry, and they decorated their tables with photos of wild birds, which is what Steve primarily cares for when he volunteers.

I love how weddings are a reflection of what's important to each couple, and Jenni and Steve did a great job of using their wedding to share their interests and values with their family and friends.  Congratulations, Jenni and Steve!

Jamie + Steve in Yorba Linda, CA

_MG_1472 I met Jamie the last semester of senior year in high school, and although we only knew each other for half of a year before going our separate ways for college, we became close friends and have remained close throughout the years.  I played softball competitively for a good 12 years of my life, and before going to UNC on a softball scholarship, I transferred the last semester of my senior year of high school from a private all-girls school in Pasadena to a public school with a top softball team in Tustin (all southern California).  Jamie was my catcher at this new school, Foothill, so we quickly got to know one another really well and, along with our good friend Jess, became inseparable.  Her family kind of adopted me for those four months so that every time I go for a visit, I feel right at home.

Jamie started dating Steve after college, and he oh-so-romantically whisked her off to Paris for half a year.  His love for and devotion to Jamie have never wavered, and I can’t wait to have new adventures with the Cruzes.

I feel so privileged to witness the weddings of my clients, but it was so special to see so many familiar faces show their love and support for one of my dear friends and her husband.  Here are a few photos from their day – it’s not easy to take lots of photos as a bridesmaid, but I managed to capture some.  They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda.
