Wow, I can't believe it's already Tuesday! We just returned from a truly magical weekend field tripping with about 350 other photographers in El Capitan. Such an inspiring experience and we feel so rejuvenated and can't wait to dive into doing some hard (and fun) work, but for now, we're exhausted so I'm going to keep this on the shorter side.
The thing I love most about Lynette and Jacky's wedding was how personal it was. They met while going to Cal and so a big part of their wedding was not only sharing their story with their guests but also trying to re-create some of their favorite Cal moments. I remember when we first met with Lynette and Jacky, and Jacky was so excited, dare I say giddy, about taking all their guests on a campus tour to point out the places that they had frequented in the early days of their relationship. The tour ended up not working out, but instead, they took their guests to the top of the famous bell tower where they had created signs that shared their story. They also hired the men's acapella group to sing during their ceremony, and we picked out portrait locations (such as the architecture building where Lynette spent a lot of time) that were meaningful to them. We love when our clients have a distinct vision for their wedding so that we can collaborate with them to make pictures that enhance their story. Now, when they show people the campus, they can point out the spot where they met and the spot where they were married. Congrats you two!
